The complete Salah sequence is printed across one surface, in prayer order, in twelve numbered steps. It is already open when you stand on it, so a glance down is all it takes to keep going.

Size

Care and washing

Why it hasn't stuck
You've started hundreds of prayers. You've finished almost none of them.
Physical sequences, the postures of Salah, their order, what belongs where, aren't learned the way facts are learned. They're stored as procedural memory, and procedural memory saves a sequence far better when it runs start to finish without stopping.
That's the part nobody told you.
Every time you pause mid-prayer to unlock your phone, find your place in the app, or squint at the sheet beside you, the rep breaks. And a broken rep stores far worse than a complete one.

To be fair: your phone is still the best tool for hearing correct pronunciation aloud, and it fits in your pocket. Keep it for study between prayers. It just shouldn't be in your hands during one.
Is it respectful to pray on a mat with writing on it?
A fair question, and it deserves a plain answer. Rumi is a learning aid, the way a written du'a card or a Qur'an held in your hands during study is a learning aid. The printing is on the mat, not on the act. The design was deliberately made quiet and unobtrusive so that as you need it less, it recedes. If you want certainty for your own practice, ask your local imam. We would encourage that, not talk you out of it.
